WEST CENTRAL INDIANA GENEALOGY RESEARCH LIBRARY

Our library is open to the public and there is no membership requirement to take advantage of our vast collection and knowledgeable volunteers.
We're open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST and by appointment at other times.

    Genealogical Resources
  • Over 300,000 local obituaries from the 1830's thru 2020.
  • Birth & Marriage announcements from local newspapers.
  • A large collection of local Funeral Home Records.
  • Paper Copies of Fountain County Federal Census'
  • A family history room with many family histories on the shelves.
  • A large collection of yearbooks from Fountain and neighboring county schools.

Queries welcome via Email OR snaiL mail.

For email queries, we will respond via email and let you know what information we have available to aid you in your research.
We request a minimum of $.10 per copy + cost of postage as a donation.

For Mail-In Queries, we request a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope and a donation of at least $1 for copies.
*(Due to query volume, please allow up to 3 weeks for a response via Postal Mail)

We prefer using email as it's much faster. It's easier for us to let you know what we have. It's easier for you to tell us what you want sent.
